Quick shirt decal size chart

For a shirt decal size, start with the placement first: adult front decals often sit around 9-11 in wide, full back decals around 10.5-13.5 in, youth front decals around 7-9 in, toddler decals around 5-6.5 in, left chest logos around 3-4 in, and sleeve decals around 2-4 in.

Adult and 2XL-5XL shirts: do not scale linearly; stay inside heat press and transfer limits.
Kids, youth, and toddler shirts: reduce width and height before cutting HTV or vinyl.
Cricut or HTV projects: set the artwork width first, keep proportions locked, then mirror before cutting.
Back, sleeve, pocket, and left chest designs each need their own starting size.

Printable shirt decal size chart

Use this shirt decal size chart for adult XS-5XL, youth, toddler, front, back, left chest, and sleeve layouts before cutting HTV, Cricut iron-on, adhesive vinyl test pieces, or ordering DTF transfers. Measure the actual shirt before production. Designs on 2XL and larger shirts do not scale linearly, and many shops cap large designs near 14 in because common 15 x 15 heat platens and gang sheet widths limit the usable area.
